Apple Crumble

Filling 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced thinly ½ Tsp Cinnamon 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar 30g Flora Plant Butter™ Pastry 125g Flora Plant Butter™ 100g Castor sugar 1 Egg 280g All-purpose flour 10g Baking powder 2g Salt 5ml Vanilla essence

Preparation (for 1 portion) for

Apple Crumble


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a baking tray, place the sliced apple evenly in the tray.
  2. Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar evenly over the apples.
  3. Break the Flora Plant Butter™ into small pieces and place randomly over the apples. Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes, remove and cool.
  4. Cream the Flora Plant Butter™ and sugar, then add the egg and vanilla. Sieve the flour and baking powder and salt and mix in. Mix until a smooth dough. Divide the dough into two, cover half and place in fridge.
  5. Press half the dough into the tart tin, place the cooked apple neatly in the tart shell. Take the cold pastry out the fridge and grate over the apples. Bake in oven at 180°C until golden brown 15 to 20 minutes
