Shortbread dusted with Cinnamon Sugar

300g Flora Plant BUTTER™, cut into small blocks 140g Selati Castor sugar 500g All purpose flour 1g Cinnamon powder 20g Castor sugar

Preparation (for 4 portion) for

Shortbread dusted with Cinnamon Sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 150C. Grease a 30cm x 20cm baking tray.
  2. Use an electric mixer to beat the Flora Plant BUTTER and caster sugar until light and creamy.
  3. Slowly add the flour. Bring dough together in the bowl. Shape into a disc
  4. Press the dough into the baking container. Smooth the surface. Using a fork indent holes into the dough until the entire dough is covered in holes. Allow to rest in fridge (covered) for 30 minutes
  5. Bake in the oven for 45-60 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from oven. Using a sieve, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the cooked dough. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, cut desired shapes Place back in the oven with temperature 100C for a further 30-45 minutes to cook through the dough. Allow to cool

Chefs Tips
If you are wanting a stronger cinnamon flavour, add more sugar to the castor sugar.
